Saying ‘farewell’ to Catherine Staziker
Saying ‘farewell’ to Catherine Staziker after her three years as our curate was both a happy and a sad occasion. Following her final service at the end of January, and as a token of our gratitude for all she did, the church wardens, (two each from Holy Trinity and St.John’s), presented Catherine with several gifts.
These included Sheffield made candlesticks, a beautiful crucifix pendant, eight wine glasses and a painting of Ecclesall Woods. The painting was done by Holy Trinity’s resident artist John Greensmith, seen with Catherine.
The card (depicting Holy Trinity Lady Chapel), and presented by Peter, contains the signatures and good wishes of folk from both churches. After the presentations, it was over to the hall for lunch — attended by over 70 friends from both congregations.
